Benjamin Logan FFA welcomes Freshmen into the FFA

By Katelyne Ackley, chapter reporter

On August 15, 2012 the Benjamin Logan FFA held a “buddy” day. This is for incoming freshmen that will help prepare and help explain what FFA really is. The Chapter FFA Officers were placed in a group of five to six incoming freshmen, with the idea that officers would act as a mentor and get more members active in FFA. A tour was given of the shop, Ag rooms, and the Land Lab. Following the tour, officers did a “Barnyard Olympics” between the seven teams. Games included: corn toss, egg walk, wheel barrel race, sack race, and mud pie worm find. Throughout the rest of the school year there will be competitions, and the winner will be awarded the golden boot.
