On Saturday I went to the NTPA National Tractor Pulling Championship in Bowling Green. My buddies Keaton & Parker love tractor pulls so we surprised them with a trip to Bowling Green. It was perfect timing as just a few weeks earlier Keaton was upset he had to go a wedding and miss a local tractor pull because he hadn’t been able to go to one all summer. My dad also came along with my husband Zach and I for his first trip to Bowling Green.

Keaton and Parker's conversations were cracking me up. They really got into which colors were winning and took it quite seriously.

The farmers behind Honest Pride were actually from Canada. We really enjoyed getting to talk to the owners and drivers. I was surprised how many people from Canada were there.

One really neat area was the history building. It was so neat to see the Sassy Massey displayed there. I had to snap a photo with dad, because as a little girl I used to watch it pull and even had a Sassy Massey t-shirt!

In the history building was also this old pulling tractor. Check out the creative use of the beer kegs.
The neatest discovery of the day was the STPA pulling competition. Who knew there were remote-controlled pulling tractors and trucks? We sure didn’t! Keaton and Parker loved it so much I couldn’t get them to leave. When we dropped them off at home Keaton went right to his remote controlled car and the tool box and started trying to figure out how to soup it up….

Don't you just love the mini sled? These mini versions do not disappoint. They are still loud, throw off smoke and occasionally break too.

This poor guy had a much tougher job than the guys running the equipment on the big track. He actually had to do manual labor all through these pulls.
