$31,500 in scholarships awarded by Ohio AgriBusiness Association and George Greenleaf Agri-Industry Endowment

Each year, the Ohio AgriBusiness Association Educational Trust scholarship program awards scholarship dollars to students enrolled in an agriculture-related field attending The Ohio State University and Ohio State’s Agricultural Technical Institute, Clark State Community College and Wilmington College.

The scholarship fund is supported by donations from OABA member companies, and through three primary fundraising activities: a February Bowling for Scholarships event, and Golf for Scholarships outings in both June and August.

This year, OABA awarded $23,000 in scholarship dollars to the following individuals.

Clark State Community College

  • Shannon Bodey, St. Paris — Major: Agricultural Business
  • Kristi Levernier, South Charleston — Major: Agricultural Business
  • Kari Whitt, South Vienna — Major: Agricultural Business

 

The Ohio State University Agricultural Technical Institute

  • Michaela Becker, Dalton — Major: Business Management/Agricultural Commerce
  • Amanda Koch, Wapakoneta — Major: Agricultural Business
  • Danielle Snyder, Leesville — Major: Agricultural Commerce

 

The Ohio State University College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences

  • Lara Staples, Hamersville — Major: Dairy Science
  • Lauren Fehlan, Wellington, — Major: Animal Science
  • Amanda Haddix, South Vienna — Major: Agricultural and Extension Education
