Evolution Ag in Plain City has announced that it will be holding its annual Open House and Customer Appreciation event on Wednesday Feb. 22, 2017 and producers will have the opportunity to be recertified for pesticide application as well as being able to complete the new course required of all producers to be able to apply nutrients.

Doug Loudenslager, Principal and General Manager said that current and future customers are invited to the dealership on Feb. 22 to enjoy lunch as well as discounts on parts, filters and fluids as well as specials on products throughout the store. Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m.  Classes will be run in conjunction with the open house. The dealership is located on US 42 North, eight miles south of Delaware and eight miles  north of Plain City.

Product specialists from Case IH and the other companies that Evolution Ag represents will be in attendance to answer questions and review new product offerings. In addition, new Dodge Ram trucks will be on display along with available test drives.

Evolution Ag will be hosting a pesticide recertification as part of their open house on Feb. 22  from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Attendees can be recertified in categories core, 1, 2, 3, and 6. Call the Union County Extension Office  (937-644-8117) or contact Evolution Ag (740-363-1341 extension 101) to register. Registration cost for this class is $30.

To apply a fertilizer with a guaranteed analysis on more than 50 acres of agriculture grown crops primarily for sale, a certification is needed by Sept. 30, 2017. Fertilizer that is run through the planter and application of lime and manure are exempt. If a custom applicator makes your fertilizer applications for you, you do not need to be certified. A Fertilizer Applicator Certification Training will also be offered at Evolution Ag from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 22. State specialist Greg Labarge will be covering nitrogen, phosphorus, and soil testing. Register by calling 937-644-8117 or by contacting Evolution Ag. There is no cost for this training.
