From livestock to cake decorating, youth, teens and adults are able to showcase their projects. So many great companies are represented and the staff and fair board work hard to make sure everyone has a good experience. If you haven’t been to the state fair you will find there is something for everyone, great food, fun games and exciting entertainment. Our college is also represented at the fair. This year we will have a putting green and our quarter scale tractor along with lots of other good information. Hope to see you at the fair! Go Bucks!”
James said the Ohio State Fair is Fairtastic because, “The best part about the Ohio state fair is the entertainment, they have so many great shows they put on each year, also I like the food, the funnel cakes are the best, seeing my two kids faces would have to be the best part of the whole experience though!”

Last year was our first year and we loved seeing all the animals and tasting all of the delish food. My children loved seening the dog agility shows!

I love the fair because of the ambiance, the lights the smell of food, the laughter coming from the rides. The shows and the crafts and vendors always good to see newest gadgets out there. I love to sit and watch the families the kids faces are in awe when they are looking at the the fair. The price is reasonable for the entertainment.
Mary Cordesco 89 yrs old loves to go to the fair. We first visit Gillee Center,lots of her friends have booths set up there. We meander to the newest and most spectacular gadgets. A new hat and big container for drinks are purchased. We always travel to the building that serves food from Oh and usually watch the presentation on how to cook things the modern way. Spending the day with her at the fair is a joy for both of us. When we win the tickets I hope it comes with a parking place inside the gate.
The Ohio State Fair is fairtastic because there’s so much to do there and not enough time to do it in one day. We love the entertainment, crafts, all the different foods, and of course the building that hold the girl scouts, 4-H, and campfire groups. Our 16 years old has been in the girl scouts and 4-H for over five years now and has volunteered for different things with her girl troop at the fair.
The Ohio State Fair has been a part in our family for the last 3 generations. We always look foward to it every year because it is one thing that all of the family cant wait to be a part of.
Everything about the fair make it great, the music groups, the food, the vendors, the animals, the kids and the memories of going there as a kid all makes is wonderful. I love it more every year!

Ohio Agriculture makes the Ohio State Fair Fairtastic! Without agriculture fairs and live are just a carnaval. I want to take my New York wife so we can take lots of pictures and figure out what to enter next year to invite all our family and friends! Shame on me, she has never seen the great Ohio State Fair!

Our family loves to go to the fair for the great food and rides too. We have a 2 yr old , a 4 yr old and a 8 yr old ! they love the butter display and the homemade ice cream sold in the dairy area. We always have a great time! Thank You Ohio State Fair workers and vendors too. We Appreciate you!
The Ohio State Fair is Fairtastic because of all the great food, butter cow, ice cream, band and choirs and most of all the DiSalle building that I enjoy seeing and being apart of.
My thoughts on what the best part about the fair: GREAT food,GREAT rides,GREAT entertainment,GREAT experiences and memories!! It’s a fun place to go with the family to just have fun in your OWN state!! Walk around and see all the livestock, 4H projects, all the people,singers perform,bands, orchestras,riding the ferriswheel,eating icecream and drinking lemonade, EVERYTHING!!:D OH and don’t forget the AllOhioStateFairYouth Choir and Band! The concerts here at the fair too, and comedians!! I come every year to the state fair because that’s how much I LOVE IT <3

I have enjoyed the Ohio State Fair for many years, from my childhood on up.
We love the whirl of the “Bat” copter, the pop of the old popcorn machine at the entrance, the din of happy chatter in the dairy bar, the smiles of those watching my daughter and I come down the big slide, the view of a sleeping baby after a long day at the best fair in the country!
Food, animals, rides, shows and all the activities available to do, plus all of the hard work put in by the kids with projects. can’t not mention the volunteers that make things happen. Supporters on sale day
The first item that comes to mind that makes the Ohio State Fair Fairtastic is the Butter Cow display. My family looks forward to the new one being revealed every year. Maybe that’s because we have displayed dairy cattle their for 3 generations and we are coming close to the 4th generation participating in a couple more years.
Also, not to be missed…the Lausche 4-H Building, Ag. Hort Building and the Natural Resources area where you get to say “hi” to Smokey! And don’t leave the fair before watching both the All Ohio Band and Choir. Awesome youth representing our state!
Simply attending the Ohio State Fair, makes it Fairtastic! I haven’t missed attending the Ohio State Fair in at least 50 years. At my age, I’ve lost count. Any activity or event that includes the youth of this great state participating is worth going to see.
You can’t get a better meal than going to the Food Pavilion where all commodities are represented and be sure to purchase a pork tenderloin sandwich from the Ohio Pork Producers. Finish lunch with a scoop of ice cream, while viewing the Butter Cow display. And another favorite of mine….riding the sky ride with my grandchildren and now my great grandson, Landon.
A trip to the Ohio State Fair always includes a look at the dairy barn and the Butter Cow!
The Ohio State Fair is the best state fair in the nation. The livestock shows are the best and Champions at Ohio usually go on to win at National Shows.
I love seeing all the Livestock. As a former 4-Her, those kids put alot of hard work into their animals. So, to go see those accomplishments is awesome.
Love watching 4-H demonstrations, and walking through all the livestock barns!
From the time I was a kid the most thing I looked forward to at The Ohio State Fair was going to see the Butter Cow and then standing in line for the Swiss Cheese with mustard sandwich and Chocolate Milk! That is the best taste EVER and can only come from The Ohio State Fair!
I don’t know what makes the OSF fantastic….we just moved to Ohio from Florida last September. We would love to go but with a family of 5, we just can’t afford it. It would be really nice to win the family pack so we can finally check it out.
The fair environment is an excellent tool in educating the youth of Ohio important skills in life. Whether raising animals or another craft, responsibility is a huge part with a lot of fun thrown in.
I have never had my 12 & 9 year old boys to the Ohio State Fair. They are born Ohio State Buckeyes and it is time to see what the Ohio State Fair is all about and what it has to offer….
The Ohio State Fair is Fairtastic because it gives kids and families from all over the state a chance to show their animals and projects. It’s the culmination of 4-H and FFA learning along with good food and entertainment.
There truly is something for everyone.
Seeing all our friends and catching up! It’s like a reunion each year.
I like the Ohio State Fair because it reminds me of my own county fair on a larger scale I enjoy the food that you only get to eat at this time of year. Getting to see the kids prepare animals for show like i use to do and other farm related activities like the Jr. Fair building and large butter sculpture.
