Ohio State Fair Sale of Champions Results

The Grand Champion Swiss Cheese represents the Ohio Dairy Industry and its variety. The following Jr. Fair participants are representing their industry: Keaton Topp, Shelby County, Anna Miley, Wayne County, Tanner Top, Wayne County, Michelle Funk, Ashland County, Allison Mangun, Wayne County and Erica Showalter from Guernsey County. The cheese was purchased by Kroger Deli and Bakery, Westfield Insurance AgriBusiness Division, Biery Cheese Co., COBA/Select Sires, Inc., John and Suzann Spreng-LongAcre Farms and DHI Cooperative Inc. for $15,500.

The Grand Champion Turkey exhibited by Zach Johnson from Clinton County sold for $10,500 purchased by Kretschmer Deli.

The Grand Champion Meat Goat was exhibited by Jordan Fledderjohann from Shelby County. The meat goat was purchased by Huffman’s Market and Direct Feeds- Denny Miller.

The Grand Champion Meat Chickens were exhibited by Emily Myers from Montgomery County. The pen of meat chickens was purchased by Cox, Event Marketing Strategies and Amusements of America for $17,000.

Reggie Regula, Logan County, had the Reserve Grand Champion Meat Chickens that were purchased by Kroger for $16,000.

Mackenzie Fruchey, Fulton County, had the Grand Champion Market Lamb that was purchased by Kroger for $43,000.

Madison Banbury, Knox County, had the Reserve Grand Champion Market Lamb that was purchased by Kale Marketing, Burkhart Farms and The Ohio Horse Racing Industry for $19,500.

Levi Stauffer, Hancock County, had the Grand Champion Barrow that was purchased by Meijer for $41,000.

Troy Elwer, VanWert County, had the Reserve Grand Champion Barrow that was purchased by Bob Evans Farms and the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation for $20,000.
