2011 Bloom Carroll FFA Picnic

On Wednesday, September 21, 2011 Bloom Carroll held their annual picnic. This consisted of food, bonding, and introducing the new year of the FFA organization.  Many members showed up for the traditional gathering and this year there were many new faces. While Mrs. Palsgrove (the advisor) talked to all of the parents about what the FFA consists of, the officers introduced the new idea of having “families”. Over the summer at our officer outing, we decided to do a new mentor program. This mentor program is meant to get every member involved and to get people motivated into the FFA. We are having a competition between families to get a prize at the end of the year. Each officer had about 15 “family” members. During the picnic each family broke off, played games, and got to know each other. At the end we played the traditional red rover game as a whole to end off the night. Overall, the picnic was a success and got many members excited for the new year!
