Amy Frost: Ohio’s nominee for National FFA Officer

Amy Jo Frost, Ohio’s recent State president, is now up for a National FFA office. Amy just recently gave up her title at the 83rd State convention on May 6, 2011. The selection process for National officers is very thorough. Candidates must go through many steps in order to be an officer. The process can be long and stressful, but Amy has already made it through much of the selection process. . Candidates must go through many steps in order to be an officer. As an officer, they are responsible for organizing, and managing the organization, in all they have many responsibilities to maintain. The process can be long and stressful, but Amy has already made it through some of the selection process and has already made it through to be the State nomination for Ohio.

Amy has made it this far with the help of her supportive parents, Rob and Lisa Frost, and her sisters Jennifer and Katie. She grew up on a farm outside of Bloomingburg where her family raised and bred sheep. Throughout her years in FFA, Amy has been involved with her family’s sheep business. She has participated in many CDE events such as Parliamentary Procedures, Ag Sales, Public Speaking, and the Ag Science Fair in which she and Shannon Horn received a Gold Rating at the national level. Amy served as the chapter Vice President for Miami Trace during her senior year in high school. She began her state officer experience as the District 9 president 2009-2010 and became the State FFA President for the year 2010-2011. At the 83rd Ohio FFA Convention, it was announced that Amy would be receiving Ohio’s nomination for the 2011-2012 National FFA officer team. We are very proud of Amy and her career in the FFA organization. We look forward to the upcoming convention, and hope to see Amy inducted as . Now, upcoming at this year’s National convention, held on October 18th through the 20th, Amy will find out if she has made the ballot for National officer on the 19th during one of the sessions.
