Margaretta FFA Chapter held a Freshman Night

The Margaretta FFA Chapter held a first annual Freshman Night on Friday, September 9. This night included dinner and a tour of the FFA building. Parents were welcome where, they too could learn what FFA is about. While anxiously waiting for the night to begin, the participants enjoyed a dinner which consisted of pork chops, sweet corn, and cheesy potatoes. After dinner was concluded, the freshmen seperated into groups which were previously set up for the Big Sibling Program starting this year. In their groups, they toured the building and learned about all the opportunities they could enjoy while in FFA. They learned about the excitement of CDE’s and Convention trips. The freshmen listened to all the exciting stories the officer’s had to share. Parents also learned what they were getting into. An FFA parents also has a chance to get involved. By providing transportation to recreational activities and being the “chefs” for potlucks, they also have the opprotunity to support the Margaretta FFA Chapter. The Margaretta FFA has hosted a very successful Freshmen Night for the 1st time, and we will see more of this next year.
