United Producers Inc. recognizes local employee

United Producers Inc. (UPI), which operates livestock marketing facilities throughout the Midwest, has recognized the efforts of Logan Edenfield, senior regional manager, with its prestigious “Traveling Torch” award.

The award, given monthly by UPI to an individual or team who has made an outstanding contribution toward achieving the cooperative’s goals, was given to Edenfield for outstanding service to the cooperative and its members during the month of October.

“Logan received this award because he has clearly demonstrated his leadership, dedication and commitment to UPI and our members in several different ways,” said Dennis Bolling, president and CEO, UPI. “Specifically, he started a new sow auction at our Hillsboro market to accommodate several large hog producers in the area. Additionally, he played a significant role in the development of the Ohio Signature Beef/Whole Foods Program that allows farmers and consumers to interact, which not only benefits our members, but the agriculture community as a whole.”

United Producers, Inc. is one of the largest farmer-owned livestock marketing cooperatives in the United States. UPI was formed in 1934 and is headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. For more information, visit www.uproducers.com.
