Benjamin Logan FFA brings home another banner

On April 10, Benjamin Logan FFA members participated in the Southwestern Skills Classic at MVCTC (near Dayton).  Students had the opportunity to compete in one or two of the following CDE areas:

a. Assembly procedures

b. Flower and vegetable identification

c. Corsage Making

d. Hand lawn mowing

e. Job application and interview

f. Painting and ladder safety

g. Personal finance

h. Commercial/walk behind mower operation

i. Small engine parts identification

j. Tractor operation

k. Tree transplanting

l. Animal Care

m. Meats Identification

n. Natural resources Identification

o. Aquarium Management

The team of students earned a second place state banner.  Team members include Ryan Anderson, Brandon Lane, Courtney Gorenflo, Cassandra Coil, Kelsey Savage, Lane Bowman, Cody Weber (competed in Paint and Ladder Safety and receiving a second place plaque), Tristan Reed, Dalton Griffin (placed second in the state in personal finance), Chance Coil (placed second in small engines), Dennis Bleininger, Hunter Colwell (taking home two state plaques with a second in natural resources and a first place plaque in tree transplanting), Tanner Penwell(continued with his Tree Transplanting perfection and teamed up with Hunter Colwell for another 1st place plaque), Hayden Ackley, Zane Collins, Colt Lane,  Bobby Brown (competed in Aquarium Management and brought home a second place state plaque),  Alex Bickham, and Josh Lowe (placed first in job interview contest).
