Logan Elm FFA Pod Patrol

Members of Logan Elm High School FFA will participate in a unique “Pod Patrol” event to learn about Monsanto’s advanced soybean technology – Genuity® Roundup Ready 2 Yield® soybeans – and their performance leading into the harvest season. The event is designed to combine fun and an agronomic learning experience for FFA students from Logan-Elm High School who will walk a local soybean field.

The event will be held on Wednesday, September 12 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. at the farm of Kingston, Ohio farmer Aaron Minor.

Led by Aaron Minor and Channel® seed brand agronomist, Dave Klamforth, the FFA Pod Patrol will be on the lookout for more 3 and 4 bean pods on Genuity Roundup Ready 2 Yield soybean plants, which result in higher yield opportunity compared to first-generation Roundup Ready® soybeans. As the students walk the field, they will also examine other performance factors, such as standability and overall plant health.
