Time to nominate your favorite CCA

Harold Watters, CPAg/CCA, OSU Extension

Now is the time to nominate your Certified Crop Adviser for honors. If your CCA got you through another difficult year then consider nominating her or him for this honor. The application is found on the Agronomic Crops Team website (http://agcrops.osu.edu) under Links or at the go address: http://go.osu.edu/CCAoftheYear.

The Ohio Certified Crop Adviser (CCA) Program is sponsoring one state award titled “Ohio Certified Crop Adviser of the Year“. The award program is designed to recognize an individual who is highly motivated, delivers exceptional customer service for farmer clients in nutrient management, soil and water management, integrated pest management and crop production, and has contributed substantially to the exchange of ideas and the transfer of agronomic knowledge within the agricultural industry in Ohio.

Last year’s deserving winner, Mike Dailey, was awarded the honor in March – and the winner for this year will receive the award on March 5th at the 2013 Conservation Tillage Conference. Submit nominations to the Ohio CCA Board by December 3, 2012. Again an easy to fill in nomination form is available from the website – then send to the Ohio CCA Board c/o Ohio AgriBusiness Association, 5151 Reed Rd. Suite 126-C, Columbus, Ohio 43220-2598, Email: Info@OABA.net.

Not much going on over Ohio today, as we take a look at the forecast update, we're still seeing some scattered at showers lingering in Northeastern parts of Ohio. This is just part of the feature that came through overnight last night for the bulk of the state today, we see clouds and some sunshine, but I don't think we see a lot more precipitation.
