Logan Elm FFA sponsored “Thanksgiving Baskets”

Project generates 65 meals for families in their school district

The last part of the FFA motto is “living to serve”. The Logan Elm FFA recently lived this out by sponsoring a “Thanksgiving Baskets” project at the high school. Each of the 32 1st period classes received an empty basket with a list of items needed for a Thanksgiving meal and was challenged to complete at least one basket. The goal was to provide 32 complete meals to families in the Logan Elm school district for Thanksgiving. The outpouring of generosity from the Logan Elm students and staff was tremendous during this project. When the dust cleared, a total of 65 baskets were turned in. Each basket also has a $10 Kroger Gift Card for the family to put towards a turkey. These cards were purchased by the Logan Elm FFA, Mount Pleasant Church in Kingston, and E&R Enterprises. The bags were donated by Pickaway Ross. With so many baskets collected, the FFA will be able to provide families in the district with a meal at Thanksgiving and again at Christmas.
