While at Ohio Cattleman’s Association, members learned about how  the check off dollars help the Cattleman’s Association to promote beef products. Members had the opportunity to ask questions and earn prizes. Members had a lot of fun participating in questions and most received a “lean beef” t-shirt. We learned about internship availability and exactly what the Ohio Cattleman’s Association does as an organization.

Next stop on the trip was to COBA Select Sires. COBA Select Sires is a beef genetics company with a focus in the dairy industry.   At Select Sires members got to see three bulls. This was a very exciting opportunity. Select Sires keeps their bulls and cows in very special barns and have separate barns for disease control, so to actually see and take pictures of the bulls was a privilege.

Members had a lot of fun at convention meeting new FFA members and bonding with our own chapter while celebrating the achievements of our chapter and state organizations.
