Miami East-MVCTC FFA announces May Members of the Month

The May 2014 Miami East-MVCTC FFA Members of the Month are Kendra Beckman, Kolin Bendickson, Rebekah Eidemiller, Colin Hawes, Kelly Rindler, Lindsey Roeth, and Lauren Williams. They are all retired chapter officers and will soon be graduates of Miami East High School.

Kendra Beckman is the daughter of Mark and Kim Beckman. She will be attending Wright State University majoring in sports medicine. She has served as chapter president, treasurer, and chaplain. She competed in the Agricultural Communications competitions.

Kolin Bendickson is the son of Derick and Kristin Bendickson. He will be attenging Ohio State University-Agricultural Technical Institute in Wooster majoring in Agribusiness. He served as chapter sentinel and participated in the Tractor Trouble Shooting Contest. He earned his State FFA Degree.

Rebekah Eidemiller is the daughter Eric Eidemiller and LaDonna and Allen Mays. She will be attending Bowling Green State University majoring in Communications Disorders. She served as chapter reporter and twice earned a gold rating on the chapter scrapbook. She competed in the Agricultural Sales contest.

Colin Hawes is the son of Larry and Tonya Hawes. He will be attending Edison State Community College majoring in general studies. He served as chapter historian and student advisor. He completed in the Agricultural Sales and Tractor Trouble Shooting contests.

Kelly Rindler is the daughter of Mike and Natalie Rindler. She will be attending Edison State Community College majoring in nursing. She served as chapter vice president. She participated in the Food Science and Technology Contest.

Lindsey Roeth is the daughter of Mark and Paula Roeth. She will be attending Findlay University majoring in athletic training. She served as chapter student advisor. She completed in the Food Science and Technology contest and earned her State FFA Degree.

Lauren Williams is the daughter of Scott and Pam Williams. She will be attending the University of Akron majoring in radiology. She served as chapter secretary. She earned her State FFA Degree and has three times won a state FFA proficiency.

Every month of the school year the Miami East-MVCTC FFA will select a student to be the FFA Member of the Month.  The officer team will nominate one student that has been actively involved in the FFA chapter, school and community activities.  If selected, the member will be recognized at the monthly FFA meeting, have their picture displayed in the Miami East Ag Room, and will receive a special medallion on celebration of their accomplishment.
