Tips for weed control before planting begins

Under ideal conditions, a fall herbicide application would have taken place in 2014 and another shot at Ohio’s high-anxiety weeds like marestail, giant ragweed and palmer amaranth would have happened just recently. Due to weather conditions, neither of those opportunities may have happened, leaving many producers concerned about getting their fields ready for the 2015 planting season. The Ohio Ag Net’s Ty Higgins gets some weed control tips for farmers facing wet early spring conditions as he visits with Jonathan Huff from Dow AgroSciences.
