A winter wheat emergence update

As farmers around Ohio hose off the harvest equipment, it is now time to head out to the field again for check on the emergence of their winter wheat. According to Tate Cockerill, a DuPont Pioneer Account Manager in Southwest and South Central Ohio, after a good plating window, mild temperatures and some rain in his area, wheat is off to a great start. He visits with The Ohio Ag Net’s Ty Higgins about what an ideal winter looks like for a successful wheat crop too in this week’s DuPont Pioneer Field Report.
