  1. Very disappointing that the Ohio State Fair draft horse show was done prior to the fair.
They always had a good attendance when it was held during the fair and exposed different folks to those horses and their capabilities. Draft horses are a rich heritage of our agriculture. It seems the agricultural aspect of the fair is losing ground. What a shame as it should be an important tool to make urban and city folks aware of the many different aspects of agriculture and how it is tied into everyone’s everyday lives. I’m 76 years old and attended the fair since I was very young…4 or 5 years old. Of course, I see a huge difference in the emphasis..or non- emphasis on agriculture. It was once the center of the fair and the main reason for the fair.
