We are down to the hottest day of the year in many parts of the US today. Temps skyrocket today and humidity levels stay very high. This will promote high heat indices today, but also some thunderstorm development this afternoon. We still are on track to see good moisture this afternoon and tonight over Ohio, with rain totals of .25″-1.7″ and coverage at no more than 60% of the state, as laid out on the map below. High heat warnings are in effect for areas to our west, and heat advisories are peppered through the state here.

Tomorrow we see temps pull back a bit, but humidity stays high. Then over the weekend we see good sunshine and a continued pull back in temps to go alongside less humid air. The dry pattern holds through all fo next week as well, with full sunshine for the week and temps near normal. Humidity values should stay in a mostly comfortable range through the week as well. There is a minor trough that dips through on tuesday that changes winds to the north and northwest. While we dont expect moisture, it will keep us pleasant for most of the week.
