Ohio Ag Weather and Forecast, April 3, 2024

After an active night last night, we are colder today. We are on the backside of the low pressure circulation and will stay in that general area through tomorrow and early Friday. This means plenty of cloud cover today and tomorrow, and we won’t rule out spotty on and off showers. However, the prospect for heavy moisture is done. We can pick up a few hundredths to a few tenths today and tomorrow. The map below shows moisture for the combined Wednesday-Thursday time frame.

Clouds give way to some sun Friday, but we stay chilly. Temps are not quite as cold Saturday, and milder Sunday into Monday. A frontal complex will be developing Saturday and Sunday to the west in the plains. That front surghes eastward Sunday late afternoon and evening. We will have to watch for some scattered showers overnight Sunday night, especially in western Ohio. The chances for showers linger into the first part of Monday, but should be gone by the time the eclipse is working through Ohio. We stay rathe rmild for the rest of the week. Tuesday and Wednesday are dry, but Wednesday night and Thursday we may have to watch for pop up showers and thunderstorms. THere is not a significant front in that time frame, but some instability based on warmer air dominating the week.
