Ohio Ag Weather and Forecast, May 23, 2024

Mostly dry weather continues today and tomorrow in northern Ohio. Things are a little more interesting in the southern part of the state, as we see additional moisture come from an unsettled pattern across the OH and TN valleys. We don’t think we see as much potential for scattered showers today during daylight hours, but will see an increase in southern Ohio overnight tonight and tomorrow. Still, we should end up with less than half an inch on 60% coverage. The northern half of the state stays fully dry and warm. We should continue to see dust roll over the region.

Scattered showers move through overnight friday night into Saturday morning with about 50% coverage. Rain totals will be .1″-.5″ in that zone. Then we are dry for the balance of Saturday through Sunday midday. A stronger mass of rain and thunderstorms comes through Sunday afternoon, Overnight and through monday morning. Rain totals can be half to 1.5″ with coverage at 100% of Ohio. The balance of Memorial Day shows clouds giving way to some sun. The map below shows the precipitation for the Sunday-Monday period.

We are dry Tuesday thr 28th through the day. Then showers return overnight next Tuesday night into Wednesday with rain potential at .1″-.5″ and coverage at 60%. Fully sunny, dry weather is back to finish the week for Wednesday afternoon, Thursday and Friday. A few hit and miss showers can pop up on Saturday June 1st.
