Ohio Ag Weather and Forecast, June 20, 2024

More hot and humid weather through Saturday. We believe the best thunderstorm threats are behind us now, and temps will be warm enough to cap our atmosphere a bit, keeping thunderstorms from developing. This pattern of heat keeping most thunderstorms at bay will hold through the start of the weekend.

Sunday a frontal boundary moves toward us. Scattered showers can develop Sunday afternoon and evening, continuing into very early Monday. Rain totals will be a few hundredths to .4″ with coverage at only 60% of the state. Precipitation will be done before sunrise Monday. The map below shows rain potential sunday into early Monday. That front will also drop temps back closer to normal.

Monday and Tuesday will be pleasant with a good deal of sun. We are now projecting a cold front to arrive next Wednesday afternoon, bringing rain and thunderstorms overnight through Thursday. Rain totals can be .25″-1.25″ with coverage at 80%, shown on the map below. We go back dry for the finish of the 10 day forecast window, next Friday the 28th through Sunday the 30th.
