Ohio Ag Weather and Forecast, June 7, 2024

Partly to mostly sunny today. We likely are a bit cooler today than yesterday, but still looking pretty nice, temperatures wise. We likely see thicker, lingering cloudiness in NE and eastern Ohio, but nothing overly problematic. This transitions into a fully sunny day to start tomorrow. Evaporation reaches maximum and we feature good drying. However, clouds do increase in northern areas late in the afternoon and overnight. A few rain showers are likely into Sunday morning, with totals of a few hundredths to .25″ over 75% of the area from US 30 north. Farther south we see no precipitation. Sunday afternoon turns out partly sunny again in the north.

We see a good deal of sun for most of next week. We won’t rule out a spit or a sprinkle overnight Wednesday night into early Thursday, but other than that we should be dry for the entirety of the Monday through Saturday time frame. Temps will climb through the week, and that has the potential to trigger a few heat based showers or isolated thunderstorms Sunday the 16th. However, coverage looks very minor at this point. The map below is a cumulative total of all rain potential for the next 10 days. We are clearly going to be drying down quickly here over a large part of OH, especially central and south.
