No change in our damp set up going forward. We continue to see rain chances to varying degrees through the rest of the week and weekend. Rain and strong storms are likely over the state today, lingering showers tomorrow, a slight break Thursday, and then another bigger round of action to finish the week Friday through Saturday. While rain chances are around every day, we are not looking at full coverage over the state on any day. But, full coverage does come together for the state when analyzing combined action now through the weekend. The map below shows rain totals over the next 5 days combined.
Next week still has moisture around, but we should put in some drier days to start. However, while it currently looks to stay dry here, there is a very active storm track a bit father north over the Great Lakes and MI. It will not take much for that to drift south, and we are watching for signs of that. We do have rain showers redeveloping at midweek for next Wednesday afternoon. Showers and storms stay likely through the rest of the week and start to the weekend. The pattern may try to dry slightly for the week of the 24th, but we will have to see a continued de-amplification of the hot dome in the southern Plains for that to truly take hold.
