Dry to start the week with good sunshine today, tomorrow and most of Wednesday. Temps are warm but dewpoints stay down, so humidity is not over the top, at least today and tomorrow. Clouds builds Wednesday afternoon, with a frontal complex moving through the upper Midwest and Great Lakes. That front will trigger a bit of moisture closer to midnight Wednesday night in NW OH. From there, scattered showers work east and south, but will still only end up with about 40% coverage through Thursday midday to early afternoon. Rain totals come in at a few hundredths to half an inch and most areas that get rain will be only a few tenths. Dry weather returns behind that minor front for the end of the week and weekend. Cooler temps develop as well.
Next week starts dry on Monday. Clouds increase Tuesday with rain developing overnight next Tuesday night through Wednesday. This will be our best chance of rain with 80% coverage and rain totals at .25″-.75″. The map below shows the potential. Behind the system we begin to dry down, but will have to watch for a second surge of rain and thunderstorm action Thursday night into early friday. Temperatures will begin to pull back a bit to close the week. Labor day weekend will be fully dry and pleasant.
