A wet week is upon us! Showers and storms started off with a rousing round late yesterday to our west, and the rest of this week we have shower sand storms likely on multiple occasions. The best chances for strong to severe storms will be today and tomorrow before we take a break on the strong stuff for a couple of days. However, strong to severe storm potential is back as we finish the week friday and Saturday. We have rain chances somewhere in the state every day this week, and while coverage may not be 100% on any specific day, we will have 100% coverage of rain this week when looking at combined totals. This week easily can bring 1″-3″ rain totals with the 100% coverage and locally higher totals are possible anywhere we see strong storms. Rain totals to our west yesterday and last night were well over an inch an hour in some of the strongest storms. We will also have to watch for strong winds out of any severe threat as well. We likely take a bit of a break on moisture for this Sunday, at least in central and northern parts of Ohio. Then we stay rain free for next Monday and Tuesday. Rain and thunderstorm action returns next Wednesday late afternoon and evening, with good threats of showers and strong storms through the rest of the week. Right now, we are seeing signs of this wet pattern tapering off as we get closer to the week of the 24th.
