Ohio Ag Weather and Forecast, September 17, 2026

Additional scattered showers action moves through the state today, tapering off tonight but lingering in parts of the state into tomorrow mid morning. This round of action an bring another half to 1″ across the state. This will not be an all day rain, but we see chances all day and most of tonight. Tomorrow midday and afternoon we dry down and stay dry into early Saturday. However the damp pattern returns for Saturday afternoon, Sunday and Monday. Combined today through next Monday we can see another 1″-3″ in northern parts of Ohio, and up to 1.5″ in southern Ohio. The map below is a cumulative look at rains for the period.

Unsettled weather lingers next Tuesday. We may not be completely done with a few scattered showers early Tuesday morning. But, the heaviest action is done. The pattern for the rest of the week next week hinges on upper level low pressure associated with this coming weekend’s action. If the low stalls over the mid-Atlantic and Northeast states, we will see clouds circulating around the backside of that low and that keeps us cloudy and damp for Wednesday and Thursday. If the low moves away without stalling out, then we should turn drier and cooler or those days. Either way, the pattern does dry out with pleasant temps settling for the weekend of the 26th and 27th. The following week, stays seasonal with dry weather through the turn of the month. This drying window should give us an opportunity to get harvest ramped back up in many locations, if it holds.
