Ohio Ag Weather and Forecast, September 22, 2026

We make it through most of today with no precipitation. However, we still will be influenced by clouds and cooler temps. Better sun potential today than yesterday though. overnight tonight and tomorrow we will have to watch for a few hit and miss pop up showers. This mostly will turn up in far northern Ohio and NW parts of the state, but we will keep an eye out everywhere. We end up with 30% coverage of the minor moisture. Back to sunshine to finish the week for Thursday and Friday, warming through the weekend. The dry pattern holds for the start of next week too, at least through Thursday morning before clouds increase. Evaporation will be excellent, promoting fast drying and a good potential for harvest and field work.

Clouds increase late Thursday with a frontal boundary working in for next friday the 2nd. The system spawning that front takes its own sweet time moving through, bringing rain and thunderstorms from Friday through Sunday the 4th. Combined rain totals come in at .25″- 1.5″ with coverage at 100%. The map below shows the set up for the finish of the first full weekend in October.

Dry weather returns for the week of the 5th with warmer temps and low humidity again. We should see excellent drying and another open window for harvest during the week.
