Ohio Ag Weather and Forecast, September 23, 2026

No change in the forecast this morning. Your Wednesday will be damp as we have plenty of clouds through the day to go along with on and off scattered light showers and drizzle. We can see a tenth to half an inch over about 75% of the state through this evening. We will clear out overnight, and then the weather pattern gets better going forward. With the clouds and the moisture, we can expect temps to stay below normal through today.

Tomorrow clouds give way to sun, and then we see warmer temps work in as we move through the weekend and first half of next week. Sunshine should dominate for the weekend. The second half of next week stays warm and turns a bit more humid. We will be watching plentiful moisture come together and fall apart to the west over the Great Plains and western corn belt through the week, but at this time, we look for nothing to hold together long enough to get here until Friday the 2nd. Scattered shower sand storms develop there, and then we see some secondary moisture for Saturday the 3rd, finally ending by midday Sunday the 4th. Combined rain potential for the 2 and a half day event should come in at .25″-1″ with coverage at 80%. The map below has an updated look.

Behind that system, we have clouds giving way to sunshine again, but another cooler push for the 5th through the 8th. A massive storm complex is brewing in the Great Plains for midweek that week, which we project to bring significant rains back to the eastern corn belt by friday the 9th or into the following weekend.
