Ohio Ag Weather and Forecast, September 24, 2026

Better sunshine Thursday. Mostly sunny for Friday through next Tuesday. Clouds increase Wednesday, but we stay precipitation free through the entire period. Temps warm just due to sunshine alone but we also see southwest flow returning over the weekend and next week to help boost those temps. Evaporation will be strong this weekend and early next week.

A strong system exits out of the Great Plains at midweek and will bring rain and thunderstorms to all of Ohio. Action starts overnight Wednesday night and last through all of Thursday. The track of the low will be integral to seeing if there can be additional wrap around moisture that holds through Friday. At the moment we are projecting .25″- 1.5″ rain potential with coverage at 100% of the state. That is shown on the map below. Clouds will give way to sun Friday afternoon. The weekend of the 3rd and 4th looks dry with pleasant temps, and then the dry pattern holds for early the week of the 5th. However, another strong front looks to be moving out of the plains and upper Midwest early in the week and that likely brings rain back for the 8th into the 9th.
