Partly sunny and slightly warmer today. Sunshine remains a main player in the forecast through the weekend and first part of next week. Temps will be climbing a bit each day with the warmest set up just ahead of our next round of moisture. This weekend and early next wee we will see plenty of action to the west over the Great Plains and western Corn Belt, but it all falls apart before if gets to us. Next Wednesday a strong low pressure and frontal complex does hold together and brings rain and thunderstorms to Ohio. Then two more waves are likely with the system as it slowly moves to the east and northeast, one on Thursday night into friday and the other friday night into Saturday. We can see wrap around moisture still in over the region on Sunday as well. Combined for the Wednesday to Sunday period we are looking for half to 2″ rain totals on nearly 100% coverage. The map below shows the latest look.

We are dry again for the start of the week of the 5th. However, the pattern may not stay dry later that week, as we are seeing more moisture get injected in from the west and northwest. Another front races through from west to east around the 7th, bringing potential for .25″-.75″ and 80% coverage. Then behind that front more clouds are likely and much cooler air can push south out of Canada. That will promote slower drying and a damp feel through the 9th and 10th.
